Birdsong, butterflies and ponds make this a true ‘darling’ of a villa, as Sayang means in Indonesian. The main building has floor to ceiling windows, which may be opened up to breath with nature and the tropical Balinese weather, or closed to be fully air-conditioned. Whichever you choose you will not compromise on the view of the peaceful grounds. There are many calming fish ponds dotted around, with walkways over them at entrances to all the villas and main garden and building, in keeping with cleansing Feng Shui beliefs. The gazebo area in the ‘secret’ garden behind the main building has a stunning fishpond full of impressive sized carp complete with a waterfall. There are 3 tranquil gazebo areas in total, with another being poolside and the third again in a secluded garden area, resplendent with tropical flowers. Perfect places to sip on cocktails and enjoy intimate moments.

All the bedrooms are double bedded with imported King Coil mattresses for extra comfort. They are air-conditioned, with a ceiling fan option, and have sizeable en-suite bathrooms. Each has separate wardrobe and dressing areas from the main bedroom area. The master bedroom has an impressive bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi bathtub, as well as twin washbasins and marble finish. The two garden view bedrooms in the main building have a semi outdoor en-suite both with floating bathtubs to allow for alfresco bathing, at one with nature, as well as the double sink feature. The two separate villa bathrooms are alfresco, again with bathtub and separate rainhead shower areas. There are Balinese amenities on hand in all the bathrooms made from the islands natural herbal resources.

The architect-designed villa comprises a spacious main building where there are 2 double bedrooms with en-suite, each with a private garden, and a master bedroom with an en-suite complete with Jacuzzi. The second floor, with an unusual all around balcony framing the floor to ceiling windows, also has an entertainment area with a bar adjoined by a lounge area complete with a multi-media system.

The two separate guest villas are extremely charming with their Balinese style roofing and traditional but modern roofing. They are cosily romantic and each open out onto private garden views. The whole villa complex ensures privacy for a completely intimate setting.

Villa Dining
Dining is taken seriously at Villa Sayang, with a personal chef on hand to cater to all the guests’ individual culinary whims. Whether a vegetarian, Indonesian, western or fine dining palate, the kitchen staff are trained and delighted to shop at the local markets sourcing the freshest ingredients, to prepare, cook and serve each guest as required. The impressive kitchen is spacious and has all the necessary to create masterpieces – you may even wish to partake in a cooking lesson, or simply use the facilities yourself. Allow chef to entertain large parties at a seated affair, or wind down around the pool with a casual but scrumptious barbeque. Everything is possible.

Villa Sayang is located in just 3 minutes walking distance to Brawa beach, Canggu, as well as a delightful restaurant with outdoor garden seating, or a boutique hotel eatery overlooking the ocean. Nearby Canggu, a 3-minute walk up the coast, offers many beachside eateries that are very popular with the surfers, as the surf is famous on this side of Bali.

There is a nearby Country Club with daily or weekly passes for tennis or gym buffs. Further north by 20 minutes is Tanah Lot temple, which is well known for its dramatic sunsets dipping behind the temple structure set on a rock out to sea. In proximity to this is the Greg Norman designed Nirwana golf club. The Canggu side of the island is reputed for its stunning sunset views. The main boutique and shopping area of Seminyak is a 20-minute drive with the airport being 30 minutes away, traffic allowing.
